Watchmaking techniques
Many of the Oyster dial models feature a sunray effect that reflects a subtle sheen. This effect requires a superior brushing technique to create an engraved pattern that extends outwards from the centre of the dial.
The light is dispersed along the notch, creating a subtle and unique effect that reveals different shines with the swing of the wrist. Once the sunray effect is completed, the dial is coloured by physical vapor deposition or electroplating, and then finished with a lacquer.
